Introducing Cabaret Theatre's 41st season!

RU getting excited for Cabaret's 2016-2017 season? The titles for all four main stages have finally been announced!

Boeing Boeing

- directed by Kenneth Laboy! This comedy takes place in Paris during the 1960s, where a young bachelor is engaged to three stewardesses, although none of them know the others exist. With the creation of the newest and fastest Boeing jet, and the arrival of the bachelor's best friend, everyone happens to be in the same place, at the same time. Can our bachelor and his best friend keep each story straight without revealing all of the relationships? You'll have to come to Cabaret Theatre to find out!

PRODUCTION DATES:::
Thursday, Nov. 3rd
Friday, Nov. 4th
Saturday, Nov. 5th
Sunday, Nov. 6th

35MM: A Musical Exhibition

- directed by Ajit J. Mathews! Written by Ryan Scott Oliver, 35MM merges the worlds of musical theatre and photography in a high energy 90-minute exhibition. Framed by an array of eclectic settings ranging from a party to one’s own chaotic mind, these songs take the audience on a journey unbounded by physical space. With a cast of five strong vocalists, the entirety of 35MM acts as a moving photograph, as it brings film to life through music and movement in a truly unique theatrical experience.

PRODUCTION DATES:::
Thursday, Dec. 1st
Friday, Dec. 2nd
Saturday, Dec. 3rd
Sunday, Dec. 4th

You Got Older

- directed by Shayna Carney! Clare Barron's award winning play brings the audience, and the actors, on the emotional journey of the Hardy family. Mae Hardy returns home to help take care of her cancer-stricken dad and - maybe (a little) - herself. You Got Older is a tender and darkly comedic new play about family, illness, and cowboys - and how to remain standing when everything you know comes crashing down around you.

PRODUCTION DATES:::
Thursday, March 2nd
Friday, March 3rd
Saturday, March 4th
Sunday, March 5th

bare: A Pop Opera

- directed by Kat Beliavski! A pulsating, electric, contemporary rock musical, bare: A Pop Opera follows a group of students at a Catholic boarding school as they grapple with issues of sexuality, identity, and the future. As this group of teens attempts to put on a production of Romeo and Juliet, tensions flare, self-doubt simmers, and God's path seems more difficult to find than ever. bare rings with the sounds of youthful repression and revolt. With a unique sung-through pop rock score, heart-pounding lyrics, and a cast of bright young characters, bare is a provocative, fresh, and utterly honest look at the dangers of baring your soul, and the consequences of continuing to hide.

PRODUCTION DATES:::
April 7th - April 9th
April 13th - April 15th
